Below is some information and tips on using the Outlook Web App in Office 365.
- The first time you log in there are a couple settings we recommend changing:
- Change the default theme. By default they give you a grey theme that makes it hard to read anything. To change it click the settings icon in the top right and then click on theme
- Choose whatever theme you want to use and hit save.
- We also recommend turning off the focused inbox. The focused inbox tries to split your inbox into important and non important emails but it generally causes more confusion than anything. To turn it off click the filter option above your emails and then uncheck show focused inbox
- The final setting we recommend changing is the default reply option. By default the reply option on emails is “reply all”. Usually people prefer reply and to manually choose reply all if they choose. To set the default to reply click the settings icon in the top right and then use the search box to just type in the word “reply”. Then choose reply options.
- Choose to make the default option “Reply” and hit save.
- The first time you login hit “More” under the folders option on the left to display all your email folders.
- The calendar and contacts icons are located at the bottom below your email folders
- If you highlight an email you think is spam or junk there is a junk option at the top to mark it as junk, phishing or even an unsubscribe option.
- You can utilize the search option in the settings section to find almost anything you are looking for.
